About Dr. Elizabeth O'Keefe


Hello, I'm Dr. Elizabeth O'Keefe-Morse (Dr. O'Keefe).  If you are reading this, it most likely means you or someone you love is struggling emotionally.  I would be happy to assist you in increasing your self-esteem, finding healthy ways to manage worry or stress, and cope with painful or traumatic experiences.

Background & Experience

Dr. O'Keefe is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist.  She completed her undergraduate work at Fordham University and received her doctorate in a combined School & Community Psychology program from Hofstra University.  Her New York state license number is 019862.    In terms of technical specifics of practice, Dr. O'Keefe uses a combination of empirically validated therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including Trauma-Focused CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness strategies.  

Dr. O'Keefe has gained experience working in various clinical settings with children and adults facing a range of issues.  Dr. O'Keefe has provided outpatient psychotherapy to people feeling anxious or depressed, worked with adolescents in a children's psychiatric hospital, and worked as a school psychologist.  Additionally, Dr. O'Keefe has significant experience working with children and adults who are diagnosed with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities.
