Staff & Parent Training

Dr. O'Keefe is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist.  She has been providing training in various settings for over 10 years.  These trainings have taken place in educational, residential, inpatient psychiatric, outpatient mental health, rehabilitation, and nursing settings.   Training sessions are provided in person at the location of the setting requesting the training.


Dr. O'Keefe utilizes a background in cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive behavioral supports, functional behavioral assessment and behavior support plan writing, mindfulness, and the principles of learning and behavior to create evidence based training sessions.


Both staff training and parent training services are offered.  If you are interested in receiving training that is not listed below, please contact us to discuss your specific needs.  We are happy to create customized training sessions.

Staff Training

Staff training can be created or modified to fit the needs of the particular setting. 


Examples of staff training topics:

-Introduction to Functional Behavioral Assessment & Behavior Support Planning

-Understanding Challenging Behavior (Can be geared towards working with children, or adults with special needs)

Parent Training

For Parents of Children with Autism and/or other Developmental or Intellectual Disabilities:

-Increasing Self- Help Skills/Independence 


General Topics:
